Silent Grounds (2019)
Filmed in both the Atacama Desert and Belgium, Silent Grounds is a work of parallels. It follows a young woman completing everyday tasks such as bathing, running and cooking. Edited across three screens, scenes of the desert’s arid grounds, infinite landscapes and an abandoned quarry coincide with the actions she undertakes. The work maps the sourcing of our products and explores similarities between body and earth.
